Our pre-school environment is organised around the six areas of learning in the Foundation Stage Curriculum (mathematical, social & emotional, physical, language & communication, creative, knowledge & understanding of the world). These are skills that the children will acquire and consolidate by the time they have left our pre-school through a very play based but structured planning of activities . This leaves them in good stead for the school years ahead. Each area of learning is split into stepping-stones; this way they are able to secure each stepping stone and understand it before moving on to the next.
During this learning process each practitioner will carry out observations on their key children to ensure that their skills, abilities and developmental needs are being met by the activities set out.
