Curriculum

We also ensure that a perfect balance is struck between learning and play. We make certain that our curriculum reflects this approach and that we recognise children as individuals and that they have a unique flair and talent that are particular to them.

As part of our well balanced and structured curriculum we follow the Birth to Three planning for the babies through to our Lower Pre-school and the Foundation Stage for children over 36 months old.

“Staff provide a balanced programme of interesting activities which support children's learning in all areas of their development. Activities enable children to build on knowledge and skills already acquired. Activities are both adult-directed and child-initiated” (Ofsted Inspection Report, 2004)

Extra activities

Our nurseries have the luxury of their own mini-bus to allow carefully supervised outings . Whether it’s a trip to the park or an adventure further afield we always ensure that full risk assessment and ratios of staff to children are adhered to.

We have our own music and movement sessions with an experienced qualified dance teacher where your child can enjoy balance and control and learn different types of movements ready for our concerts that we stage for all the parents in our large indoor hall.

We also have a music man, Keith, who visit’s the nursery once a fortnight to play the guitar to the children and brings along puppets for a musical show time. Keith is a very well experienced and qualified music teacher who grabs the children’s attention and stimulates their musical senses.
